The Power of Saying What You Offer (Instead of What You Don’t)
How Your Words Shape Your Clients, Your Energy, and Your Results
In the world of online marketing—especially in healing, wellness, and personal development—your words don’t just describe your work.
They attract it.
And one of the most common mistakes practitioners make is this:
Spending too much time saying what they do not offer.
“I do not offer this.”“This is not ......”“I don’t do that kind of work.”
It seems logical. Protective, even.
But in practice, it often creates the exact opposite result.
What You Speak… Gets Searched
Online platforms—especially search-based ones—don’t interpret your intention.
They respond to keywords.
So when you write:
“I do not offer Reiki” “This is not Meditation”“No Spiritual Healing services” (examples here because yes I do offer these things)
Those exact words—Reiki, ....., ......—are now embedded in your content.
Which means:
👉 Your ad becomes visible to people searching for those things👉 Your work gets associated with what you’re trying to avoid👉 You unintentionally invite the very audience you don’t want
The algorithm doesn’t understand “no. ”It understands language repetition.
Energy Follows Attention
Beyond algorithms, there’s also something deeper at play.
Where your attention goes—your energy follows.
And where your energy goes—your results follow.
When your messaging is focused on:
What you don’t want
What you’re trying to block
What you’re protecting yourself from
Your field becomes oriented around defense.
And people can feel that.
Even subtly, it shifts your presence from:
👉 Open, clear, groundedto👉 Guarded, reactive, and bracing
Clarity Attracts. Defense Confuses.
When your message is rooted in what you do offer, something powerful happens:
You become clear. And clarity is magnetic.
Instead of saying:
❌ “I don’t offer Reiki”You say: ✅ “I offer meditation-based sessions for grounding and clarity”
Instead of:
❌ “This is not Sacred Embodiment (example, yes I do) ”You say: ✅ “I offer trauma-informed breathwork and somatic healing”
Instead of:
❌ “No inappropriate requests”You say: ✅ “This is a professional, therapeutic space for emotional healing”
You’re no longer pushing anything away. You’re anchoring into what is true.
You Teach People How to See You
Your words don’t just attract clients.
They educate them.
When your language is clean, specific, and grounded:
People understand your work more clearly
They self-select more accurately
They approach you with the right energy
When your language is reactive or defensive:
People become confused
Boundaries feel implied instead of embodied
You end up filtering more manually (and emotionally)
The Power of Precision
This doesn’t mean you don’t have boundaries.
It means your boundaries are embedded in your clarity, not announced in reaction.
Precision replaces protection.
Instead of saying:
“I don’t offer ....... services”
You simply say:
“Sessions are structured, therapeutic, and focused on emotional and nervous system healing.”
That one sentence does more filtering than a paragraph of “do nots.”
From Repelling to Attracting
There is a profound shift that happens when you move from:
👉 Repelling what you don’t want to👉 Clearly expressing what you do
You stop managing your audience. And you start magnetizing the right one.
Your Words Are Part of Your Field
In healing work especially, your words carry more than information.
They carry:
Intention
Energy
Orientation
Your messaging becomes an extension of your presence.
So when your words are:
Clear
Grounded
Aligned with what you truly offer
You begin to attract clients who meet you there.
Closing: Speak What You Stand For
You don’t need to defend your work.
You don’t need to over-explain what you’re not.
You simply need to stand in:
What you offer
How you serve
The space you hold
And trust that clarity will do the filtering for you.
Because it will.
